Our way of working

Ethical operation is the foundation of Fira’s corporate culture. We encourage to report about deficiencies and make sure no harm comes to persons submitting such reports. We believe that successful companies are based on a transparent discussion culture, in which reporting of problems is supported.

This is how to report abuse

Fira’s Whistleblowing channel is called SpeakUp. It is a confidential reporting channel allowing our personnel and other stakeholders, such as our co-operation partners, to report any deviations or violations. The channel is intended for reporting suspected offences and abuse when the whistle blower does not feel that he or she can submit the information to their supervisor or contact person at Fira.

Whenever you notice an ethical concern in the operation of Fira, you can report it under your own name or anonymously by following the instructions below. Your message will be sent to two persons on Fira’s board and to the HR department. Each report will be handled humanely, properly and with respect for all involved.

Our SpeakUp channel can be used in Finnish, English, Russian, Estonian, and Polish.

This is how Fira’s SpeakUp channel works:

  1. SpeakUp is a service enabling you to report serious breaches that would otherwise not be reported, in complete anonymity. You can do this either via the website, by using the SpeakUp app or by phone, without the interference of a human operator.
  2. SpeakUp is available 24 hours per day and 365 days a year. Therefore, you can use SpeakUp to leave a message or check for a response any time.
  3. If you want to make a report via the website, type the website address in the internet browser and follow the instructions: (internal users) (external users)
  4. If you want to report by phone, call the number 0800 392 912 (toll-free number in Finland only) and follow the instructions. You will be asked to enter the access code, which is 105251
  5. If you want to make a report via the SpeakUp App, follow the instructions.

You will receive a notification within seven days that your message has been received. After this, you will be informed within a reasonable time about the progress of the case processing either by the personnel department or the board member responsible for the matter.

Ensuring anonymity and confidential data processing

Fira’s SpeakUp channel is not connected to Fira’s IT systems. People in Touch, an external service provider, manages the reporting channel. Fira’s SpeakUp guarantees the anonymity of the whistle blower. Your personal details and data critical for business are safe. SpeakUp complies with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and ensures the best possible data security.
