Fira Group demerges into two groups

As a result of restructuring, building and technology group Fira demerges into two groups: Fira Group and Flow Technologies Group. The goal of this change is to allow Fira to focus on the construction service business and to strengthen the roles of Sitedrive and Modules as suppliers of market solutions based on technologies and pre-manufacturing for construction companies. The demerger becomes effective on 31 March 2022.

The change in the corporate structure is based on the highly different nature of business operations and customers, as well as the development stage of the companies. This change offers the best opportunities for developing the companies’ business operations in the future.

As a result of the changes, Fira Oy will focus on the provision and development of construction services, while Flow Technologies will focus on the development and supply of construction flow-improving software, modules and other market solutions for the whole construction industry.

Flow Technologies Group’s companies develop solutions that improve the flow of construction and reduce the environmental footprint. The goal is to operate in ecosystems and add new partners to the network. Sitedrive Oy (previously Fira Smart Services Oy) is a technology company that develops digital services and solutions, such as software, data and sensors. Its customer base has expanded rapidly, and its goal is to produce scalable solutions for global markets. Flow Modules Oy (previously Fira Modules Oy) is a developer and manufacturer of smart building system and bathroom modules. Jussi Aho, M.Sc., Fira Group’s CEO since 2009, will act as the CEO of Flow Technologies Oy.

As a result of the change in the corporate structure, the majority of building and technology group Fira’s employees will transfer to Fira Oy as established employees, and a small number of employees will transfer to Flow Technologies Oy.
