200-meter-long parking facility
Fira is constructing a parking facility for the City of Hyvinkää, located between Kipinä High School and the railway. The facility will have 221 car spaces, eight of which are reserved for people with disabilities. Electric vehicle owners will have access to 20 charging stations on the first floor, and there will be six separate motorcycle spaces on the second floor. Construction began in the summer of 2025 and is expected to be completed by autumn 2026.
The parking facility primarily serves the users of Hyvinkää Arena, Kipinä High School and the educational buildings.
What makes this parking facility unique is its shape and facade. The building is approximately 200 meters long and passes under a pedestrian bridge that crosses the railway. The facade will feature vertical slats made from W-profile guardrails, commonly seen on roadsides. The facade will also be illuminated with impressive lighting.
“The parking facility is located in a central urban area, so high urban design standards have been considered in the project. Its users will include visitors to the nearby Hyvinkää Arena, Laurea University of Applied Sciences, and Kipinä High School,” explains Hyvinkää City’s Construction Manager Pasi Ratia.
We have built parking facilities of various shapes, but never one this long. Our expertise knows no bounds when it comes to shape. The Hangonsilta parking facility will be truly impressive, especially with its evening lighting
